      We are on the search for an experienced Institutional Business Development Manager to develop the institutional and intermediary commercial strategy and take accountability for the implementation of the related commercial initiatives.

      As an Institutional Business Development Manager will play a primary role to create a foundation to grow an institutional business for the first time in the UK, facilitating relationships with investment consultants, pension funds, insurance companies and corporates.

      This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile and innovative individual who has experience in creating and leading a new business channel, to be able to build brand awareness through industry events and thought leadership opportunities to generate client solutions by working collaboratively internally with Santander Group and with identified external strategic partnerships.

      The difference you’ll make

      • Building and developing a pipeline for institutional and intermediary business
      • Managing the partnership internally across Corporate and Commercial Banking and Corporate and Investment Banking
      • Overseeing the strategic distribution agreements ensuring collaboration across business units
      • Creating new client presentations, pitch books, marketing tools to help build employer brand
      • Leading the Institutional efforts with responsibilities into Global Institutional team

      What you’ll bring

      • Extensive experience of the UK institutional market
      • Demonstrable experience of successfully leading a new business channel with the ability to scope opportunities and deliver on solutions

      It would also be nice for you to have

      • Previous experience in cross selling in large organisations
      • An understanding of insurance solutions or private markets
      • Understanding and structuring complex deals creating client solutions
      • Ability to be proactive, lead on opportunities and embrace change

      This role is based in Triton Square, London and our current expectation is at least 3 days in an office every week.
