What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Verify insurance coverage, eligibility, copays, and deductibles for clients
- Communicate with patients regarding their benefits and financial responsibilities
- Assist in resolving discrepancies and research or appeal denied claims with insurance companies
- Maintain accurate records of insurance verifications and follow up on pending verifications
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare billing regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in insurance verification or similar roles, preferably in healthcare or mental health
- Strong knowledge of insurance procedures, authorizations, and reimbursements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and insurance representatives
- Proficiency in HIPAA regulations and G Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in medical or behavioral health billing
- Comfortable using various computer systems and tools like Google Meet and Slack
