      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Answer telephone calls, assess urgency, and direct callers to the appropriate personnel
      - Schedule patient appointments, resolve scheduling conflicts, and notify patients of changes
      - Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate record keeping and insurance verification
      - Book diagnostic tests and surgical procedures, coordinating necessary paperwork and instructions
      - Maintain filing systems and manage office supplies while overseeing support staff coverage

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Four years of related work experience, with two years in the same job family at the next lower level, or two years of experience with an Associate degree
      - Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and strong verbal communication abilities
      - Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems for scheduling and patient information management
      - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
      - Ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking in managing patient interactions

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a medical office or call center
      - Bilingual skills, especially Spanish, for effective communication with diverse patient populations
      - Experience with Microsoft Excel and multi-line telephone systems
      - Specialized experience in medical fields such as oncology, cardiology, or dermatology
      - Flexibility and adaptability to manage high call volumes and learn new procedures quickly
