What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, build, test, implement, and support interfaces using interface engine technology
- Act as a technical liaison between vendors, analysts, management, and end-users on integration projects
- Provide support for interface engine upgrades and serve in an on-call capacity for urgent issues
- Collaborate with technical resources and business/clinical analysts to meet hospital needs
- Write design documentation and functional requirements with guidance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required; equivalent education and experience will be considered
- Two to three years of on-the-job interface/programming experience in a multi-system healthcare environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills with a programming background, preferably with interface engines
- Understanding of healthcare financial and clinical functionality and workflows
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience with Summit interface engine and Meditech preferred
- Work experience with scripting languages
- Familiarity with HL7, Java, UNIX, Linux, .Net, FTP, Visual Basic, etc.
- Knowledge of different transaction formats such as HL7, fixed format, delimited, and XML
