      What we are looking for:

      Yazaki is looking for a Summer Intern to join our Compensation and Benefits team in Canton, MI. While concentrating primarily on compensation and benefits. the intern will broaden their understanding of various Human Resources functions by shadowing team members in areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, and HRIS. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. Onsite work model with some flexibility.

      What you will be doing:

      • Learning and applying some basic Compensation concepts and processes
      • Support external benchmark survey completion
      • Collaborating with other HR team members to gather data to complete surveys
      • Participate in the incentive compensation and merit planning processes
      • Support Intern Program activities
      • Shadowing team members in Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Benefits and HRIS

      What you will bring to the table:

      • Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship
      • Completion of sophomore year with some organizational development or HR courses under your belt
      • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
      • Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours a week
      • Technical savviness in using an applicant tracking system and navigating social media and SharePoint
      • Intermediate proficiency in using MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to create and manipulate spreadsheets and presentations
      • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Natural curiosity and diplomatic communication style
