      Recruitment Intern

      EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for a over 65,000 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks an unpaid Recruitment Intern to work part time for the Human Resources Department.

      The Recruitment Intern position is an unpaid position offering a flexible schedule of up to 20 hours for the week for students looking to obtain an internship for college credit/ course. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Garden City, NY. The role reports to the Recruitment Manager.

      Measurable Objectives:

      1. To assist the HR Department in handling administrative tasks pertaining to Recruitment
      2. Maintaining and organizing records and personnel files.
      3. Preparing for recruitment needs and efforts.

      Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

      1. Assist with recruiting efforts, job fair, and marketing events.
        1. Review applications/ resumes and assess who should move on to screening based on resume and pre-interview questions.
        2. Screen candidates via a live or virtual interview and decide as to which candidates move on to second-round interviews.
        3. Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates.
        4. Update databases and related channels for sourcing candidates.
      2. Gaining exposure and experience with HRIS system.
      3. Assisting with facilitation of the New Hire Orientation.
      4. Support HR department in assisting with clerical workload as needed.

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

      1. Some knowledge of computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments a big plus.
      2. Must have pleasant phone manner and good interpersonal skills.
      3. Excellent organizational skills.
      4. Able to conduct self in a professional manner.
      5. Internship required for College course/ college credit.
