What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and analyze crime gun data to develop leads and analyze trends in gun trafficking.
- Provide accurate, timely predictive analysis to leadership to deter and prevent criminal threats.
- Support agents through the collection and analysis of information from various databases.
- Produce gun-related intelligence products for use by decision-makers and operations personnel.
- Present analytical briefings and case studies at conferences and trainings.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A Bachelor's Degree in Intelligence Analysis Studies, Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or four years of relevant experience.
- For Investigative Analyst II: A Bachelor's Degree with two years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree in a related field.
- Knowledge and skill relevant to the duties of the job.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
- Familiarity with electronic data processing systems.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Six years of relevant experience in intelligence analysis or criminology.
- Experience in law enforcement or criminal justice-related roles.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and report writing.
- Knowledge of criminal trends and threats in Pennsylvania and the surrounding regions.
- Experience presenting findings and briefings to diverse audiences.
