What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and influence system software and Network Operating Systems for various service providers
- Provide architectural guidance throughout the software lifecycle, ensuring customer value and ROI
- Drive best practices in modular OS architecture and assess distributed systems for performance
- Engage in customer-facing technical presentations and conduct lab trials and proofs of concept
- Develop business opportunities and contribute to go-to-market strategies for product lines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in software architecture within the telecommunications or networking industry
- Strong technical background in IP/MPLS, MPLS-TP, and Carrier Ethernet
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing technical engagements
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pre-sales or customer-facing L1-L3 network engineering experience with a telecommunications focus
- Juniper and/or Cisco experience and certifications
- In-depth knowledge of communications and networking standards and best practices
- Strong multitasking capabilities with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated passion for quality, rigor, and attention to detail
