L.L.Bean is currently searching for a an IS Manager III to join the Information Services team located in Freeport, Maine.

This position is being offered as a Hybrid position working some days from home and some days at our Corporate Headquarters in Freeport, Maine.

Position Purpose:

Directs and manage Windows/Unix Server, Storage and Middleware Infrastructure in a fast-paced, complex environment that presents unique challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the Server & Storage Infrastructure, performance, capacity management, operational monitoring and off hours support.

• Manages the delivery of a set of applications, infrastructure components or services and is responsible for the full life-cycle management and performance of build and production:

• Work closely with managers in the Applications, Database, Security, Network and End User Compute teams, and collaborating with Architecture colleagues.

• Contributes to the overall technology architecture, ensuring strong alignment at all levels.

• Ensure PCI compliance and security policies within the team’s scope, as well as ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are fit for purpose.

• Prepares, delivers and leads technical presentations that bring about effective decision-making.

• Manages vendor relationships for a set of vendors as defined by the Strategic Vendor Management model.

• Establishes, negotiates and tracks adherence to Service Level Agreements for vendor and in-house systems.

• Ownership of the Server and Storage infrastructure and all supporting components

• Accountable for compliance with internal and external audit requirements and legislation, managing and developing embedding controls and policies

• Management of the Server and Storage team, including their personal and professional development, appraisals, training, coaching, discipline, and workload

• Develop Strategy Roadmaps collaborating across teams and with Architecture teams

• Encourage collaboration with all other teams in the IS department.

• Ensure the Server and Storage infrastructure remains highly available and well protected at all times, supporting the needs of a 24 x 7 business.

Years of Experience: 5+ years

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5-7 years IT experience; 2 or more years managerial or supervisory experience leading a technical/analytical team or department

• BA/BS or equivalent required; IT focus preferable

• Broad understanding of enterprise architecture

• Technical experience in one or more technology domains.

• One or more Leaders may report to this position.

• Has experience managing & re-projecting budgets and has proven results in cost containment efforts.

• Ability to build cross-functional collaborative relationships in order to support win-win outcomes; seeks formative input.

• Advance project management skills; proven success in significant cross-functional projects

• Strong technical & verbal writing skills applicable to technical teams and Senior Leadership and/or Unit Leaders.
