What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, deploy, and manage core services within major cloud platforms, focusing on Compute, Networking, Storage, Database, Serverless, and Security
- Evaluate and recommend optimal cloud solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure for consistency and disaster recovery planning
- Drive automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Monitor and optimize cloud spending, implementing cost-saving strategies
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering teams while maintaining high-quality documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
- Knowledge of the public cloud well-architected framework
- Excellent communication skills to connect with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives on complex technical challenges
- Must reside within the state of Utah
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 6+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 3+ years in hands-on Cloud roles
- Experience designing and deploying production workloads in at least two of the three major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS/GKE)
- In-depth knowledge of networking principles, security best practices, and cloud identity management (IAM)
