      Why this position exists?

      As an IT Development Lead, you play a key role within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering business projects that integrate technological solutions. You are responsible for ensuring the quality of the software assets developed, making sure they align with architectural guidelines and industry best practices. You act as both a technology advisor, a catalyst for best practices, and a hands-on contributor to execution.

      What you will do

      Analysis and Planning

      • Contribute to defining the technological solutions to be implemented.

      • Participate in breaking down technical tasks and estimating their cost.

      • Formulate informed recommendations to guide technological choices.

      Implementation and Coordination

      • Distribute development tasks within the team.

      • Monitor progress and manage technical challenges.

      • Collaborate closely with architects to ensure alignment with the target architecture.

      • Actively participate in resolving obstacles related to achieving technical objectives.

      Continuous Improvement

      • Recommend and implement robust development standards and processes.

      • Promote best practices in software quality, performance, and maintainability.

      • Drive innovation and improvement in workflows.

      What we're looking for

      Qualifications

      • 3 to 6 years of experience in a software development leadership role

      • 6 to 12 years of experience in application development

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software development, or a CEGEP diploma (DEC) in computer science or software development combined with relevant experience

      • Strong investigative skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

      • Proven influence and leadership abilities, with excellent interpersonal skills.

      • Open-minded and innovative, with a passion for continuous improvement.

      • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

      • Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
