      IT Infrastructure Sr. Manager
      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
      Summary: The IT Infrastructure Sr. Manager provides overall day-to-day and strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises-based systems solutions, infrastructure hardware, and software. The IT Infrastructure Sr. Manager will assist the Sr. Director of IT Systems Infrastructure and Operations in establishing a strategic roadmap for all key cloud-based or on-premises platforms and providing insight into emerging technologies and their possible application to meet tactical or strategic business operation's needs. The IT Infrastructure Sr. Manager will assist with establishing continuous improvement of critical IT processes, including ERP and Warehouse Management Solutions, Cloud & System Administration, Storage Management, Capacity Management, Network Administration, Voice Services, Database Administration, and Operational Monitoring and Alerting.
      The IT Infrastructure Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a growing staff of engineers and providing technical guidance and direction to managed services providers and outside consultants/contractors. The person in this role will continually evolve the team’s operational methods, tools, and technologies to provide operational and service excellence. There will be a primary focus on core system reliability and availability.
      The IT Infrastructure Sr. Manager will also be expected to partner with other ABB IT leaders (e.g., Application Development, Enterprise Security and Compliance, Enterprise Architecture) in handling operational issues and tactical and strategic projects.
      Essential Responsibilities include the following:
      • Achieve Key Performance Standards - Ensure efforts are aligned with the department and organization's overall strategic direction. Establish team standards and metrics to drive performance to a level of excellence matching the best IT Infrastructure teams in the industry. .
      • Monitor and Maintain—Lead the team in continuous improvement with our on-prem, vendor-managed, cloud system and application performance monitoring tools. Monitor and maintain current IT systems, network infrastructure, and Cloud solutions to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. Meet with functional area managers and users to determine needs, operational issues, and the impact of any changes.
      • Team’s Work/Life Balance – Build/Maintain a healthy work-life balance for the team, ensuring shared responsibilities, on-call schedules, and at least primary and secondary accountable parties for each of the systems and services the infrastructure team manages.
      • Sev1 Escalation Leadership - The candidate must possess a broad range of technical expertise and leadership skills to lead Sev1 escalation calls involving different IT functional areas to help lead the teams to restore services asap and ensure adequate communications is delivered and details of the outage are maintained.
      • Technical Competencies - Mastery in networking concepts, virtualization, AIX/Linux/Windows OS, Active Directory Services, and Azure services is essential
      • Establish and maintain relationships - Build lasting partnerships with vendors, industry consultants, and external resources.
      • Strategic Direction- Along with peers, set the strategic direction for the enterprise applications architecture.
      • Security- Partner with Enterprise Security and Compliance team to ensure all system-related risks are remediated.
      • Daily Operations—Ensure the daily delivery of optimal performance and uptime of enterprise IT infrastructure systems and services.
      • Leadership Responsibilities: Hire, coach, and mentor professional staff, conduct performance evaluations, manage the performance of the team’s goals and objectives, and be accountable for the results of the team.
      Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
      QUALIFICATIONS
      Required Qualifications
      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business Management or related studies or equivalent work experience
      • A minimum total of 10 years of experience in Information Systems/Technology, or related field
      • A minimum of 6 years of enterprise-level management, portfolio/project management, or lead consulting experience
      • A minimum of 5 years managing teams of 5 or more, including staff and or contractors
      • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Progress, Oracle, or SQL Server environments
      • A minimum of 3 years of experience with managing Azure, AWS, Microsoft 0365, and or other emerging SaaS, IaaS, PaaS cloud-based solutions or teams.
      • Experience building/managing an Infrastructure Operations team
      • Has broad relevant technical knowledge with good management expertise
      • Possesses initiative, drive, and sound judgment
      • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative organizations working effectively in a cross-functional team environment
      • Ability to meet aggressive timelines and targets
      • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and resolve technically oriented problems
      • Flexibility and ability to reprioritize as the demand and needs of the business change
      • Ability to establish standards and procedures and advocate best practices
      • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship skills, and ability to communicate effectively with the broader business and IT organization
      • Ability to learn quickly and multitask efficiently
      Desired Qualifications
      • Microsoft Azure and AWS management-related certifications.
      • Experience managing system infrastructure leveraging Progress, Oracle, and SQL databases.
      • Certifications in any of these areas: PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, Security, Leadership, and Management.
      • Experience managing an enterprise CCaaS solution.
      • Experienced in managing a 100% remote team, including outsourcing nearshore and offshore resources.
      For US Candidates
      The anticipated base pay range for this position is $112,500 - $150,000
      Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
