Lead multi-disciplined IT staff and foster a collaborative environment dedicated to the team’s mission – Customer Commitment, Collaboration, and Cooperation.
Organize and coordinate operations to achieve goals, implement security measures, and continuously improve processes.
Plan and schedule IT projects, lead their execution and completion, and facilitate project needs and risks analysis to recommend solutions.
Provide advance technical support for projects and operations.
Participates in training and professional development with a special emphasis on leadership development, management, industry related acumen, and project and operations management.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience AND five years of information technology experience which includes two years of team / project leadership.
A well-qualified candidate would possess one or more of the following: knowledge of Windows and Mac operating system administration, experience with Research IT and Higher Education IT support, detail-oriented, independent, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, ability to mentor others on available technologies, and/or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field

Are you an IT enthusiast with a customer-first mindset? Texas A&M University's Technology Services is actively seeking an IT Manager II to support the College of Arts and Science in College Station, Texas. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer services for our staff and faculty members within the departments of Chemistry, Geology and Geophysics, and Anthropology.
As an IT Manager II, you will take charge of various projects, both from leadership and those crucial to the success of the departments we support. Your responsibilities will include planning, executing, and successfully completing IT projects at both individual and departmental levels. You will manage ticket delegation, assist in resolving complex IT issues, and work directly with faculty members to address their concerns.
Your leadership will also involve mentoring your team, fostering their professional development, and ensuring the needs of the departments are met. We are seeking a manager who displays empathy, thrives amidst chaos, and uses a customer focused approach. Your ability to adapt to changing circumstances, listen to understand, and put the customer first will be key to your success in this role.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 annually based on selected candidate’s education and experience
