What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Solve complex problems involving multiple programs, systems, and security functions for agency-wide IT solutions
- Manage and administer a variety of security systems and tools, including cloud-based security tools
- Conduct security-related operational activities, including incident detection, response, and remediation
- Develop security metrics and ensure compliance with FISMA/NIST standards and best practices
- Collaborate with teams to design and implement security architecture and solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or High School Diploma with 13 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity/Information Technology Security or related field with at least 5 years of specialized experience in application security assessments
- Current industry certification in one or more of the following: CSSLP, CCSP, OSCP, CASE, GWEB
- Microsoft certification such as Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Hands-on experience with Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Active Secret security clearance
- Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- Experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices
- Familiarity with coding languages such as Java, .NET, Python, PHP, C++, C#
- Experience creating security testing pipelines and test plans
