What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide onsite and remote level one IT support to the VCCS Shared Service Center and System Office
- Troubleshoot and maintain desktop and laptop systems while serving as the primary contact for IT requests
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the technology infrastructure
- Support clients at multiple institutions within the VCCS and respond to operational problems or questions
- Attend required meetings and be available during normal work hours, with the flexibility to work outside of those hours as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year experience as an IT helpdesk technician, LAN administrator/technician, system administrator, or a relevant IT position
- Comprehensive knowledge of and significant skill in analyzing and repairing microcomputers, laptops, and peripherals
- Proven ability to define and develop solutions based on business requirements
- Working knowledge of network and telecommunication skills, as well as wireless endpoint configuration and troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
