- Work within a team of senior engineers, assisting and execute engineering work as assigned.
- Assist in preparation of capital cost estimates and project fee estimates.
- Perform technical calculations, maximum demand, lighting analyses, load calculations, arc flash, fault & coordination studies.
- Updating electrical drawings, GAs, schematics and single line diagrams.
- Writing detailed and concise technical reports, scopes of work, technical queries, including written responses and instructions as required during all project phases.
- The role involves occasional site work during FAT, commissioning, and equipment audits for short durations. You will assist senior engineers in performing these tasks.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a technical field or approaching graduation in a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience or demonstrated capability in engineering, data analytics, technical support, or operational management.
- Proficient in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good understanding and competency in electrical design standards AS3000 and AS3008.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated, proactive, adaptable and eager to learn.
- Able to swiftly adapt to and learn new technologies.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and process automation.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus on task completion.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluent and literate in English language.
- Customer service mindset.
- Ideally has had exposure to design experience in electrical, instrumentation and communications in the mining sectors.
- Exposure to working with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues effectively, especially controls engineers and SCADA engineers.
- Experience with ETAP.

We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our electrical department. In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers on audits, feasibility studies, and detailed designs for a variety of equipment. This position offers the opportunity to grow and become an integral part of the Metso Bulk Materials Handling (BMH) Engineering team.
