What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform pre-analytical duties of sample accessioning and alphanumeric data entry
- Provide focused support for newborn screening and environmental testing
- Serve as a weekend customer service point of contact for staff and clients
- Track data entry team workload and maintain department inventory
- Support the DCLS Quality Management System to ensure data accuracy and integrity
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices
- Experience with accurate documentation and strong alphanumeric data entry skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Teams
- Demonstrated ability to provide independent customer service, both verbally and in writing
- Experience as a team leader, prioritizing the work of others
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a clinical and/or environmental laboratory
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Experience training others according to written procedures
- Experience with accessioning high volumes of laboratory samples accurately
- Ability to handle confidential records
