What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Regional Senior Labor Compliance Specialist with the administration of construction contracts
- Process certified payrolls and perform basic audits on contractor payroll reports
- Verify wage rates in the Civil Rights and Compliance System (CRCS)
- Evaluate and record performance and compliance of On-the-Job Training (OJT) hours through payroll report reviews
- Provide administrative support to the statewide compliance team, including staff support to compliance workgroups
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) or similar software
- Experience in basic accounting, which may include contract reviews
- Experience providing administrative support or performing clerical duties (such as filing, emailing, scanning, researching, document management, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the internship program in May 2026 and currently enrolled in a 2-year, 4-year, or graduate school
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in labor compliance or related fields
- Familiarity with construction contracts and compliance processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
