Job Description

- Prepare and analyse samples in accordance with the standard operating procedures in the laboratory to ensure a high service level is maintained.
- Analyse a reasonable number of samples each day to ensure sufficient daily output as per requirements.
- Collect prepared samples from a client site on a semi-routine basis.
- Ensure all activities are carried out with regard and recognition of Health and Safety requirements and personal safety.
- Day to day upkeep of equipment and general housekeeping of workstations
- Undertake other work requests relevant to your position.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Flexibility with working hours and tasks.
- Good organisational skills, excellent timekeeping and communication.
- Ability to keep accurate records.

Job Description
SGS are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our friendly team based in Waihi. This role involves processing minerals samples in an accurate and timely manner.
Work on a rotating shift – 12-hour shifts on 4 days on, 4 days off. Typical hours of work are from 0530 – 1730.
