      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct complex legal research for trial staff and assist in preparing draft legal documents
      - Review and conduct research for Release of Information (ROI) and pertinent laws related to new cases
      - Edit and write legal opinions on recent cases, including reviewing AMICUS briefs
      - Respond to citizen letters and brief attorneys on legal issues and draft statements of facts
      - Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including cite checking via online legal research tools

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Juris Doctor (JD) degree or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study
      - Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures
      - Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
      - Extensive experience with cite checking and blue book
      - Familiarity with various computer applications, including word processing and databases

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment
      - Experience with Relativity and publication of legal writings
      - Participation in Law Review
      - Current or active security clearance
