ResponsibilitiesThe Opportunity
As LD&T Manager , the role will be accountable for supporting the MCC Transport Mgmt Service Leaders in the execution of carrier mgmt., account mgmt./finance, inbound ops, and network ops processes across multiple teams and business units. This position will report to a the MCC Supply Chain Tower Lead (LG1). Responsibilities include supporting delivery of full service 3PL logistics to drive gross revenue and NOPBT for Pepsico including carrier mgmt., inbound ops, account management, network ops, and brokerage. This role will engage in regular consultation with the Business unit teams and other MBS leaders on delivery of business services. TMS System knowledge and understanding of transportation is expected along with strong ability to set day-day priorities for service leaders. Strong coordination and communication with BU partners to insure delivery of optimization and efficiency gains is expected.
Exceptional time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical for this role. This role will additionally require building critical relationships with key team members both internally within the hub and across, inside the function and and across Business Units.Your Impact
As LD&T Manager your scope would consist of:
• This senior management role will lead a team of 10 Transportation Leaders who support the various services: Carrier ops, inbound ops, brokerage, account mgmt., network ops, technology, and reporting . This role is responsible for delivering revenue and NOPBT goals by ensuring the day to day management of transportation is delivered and performance metrics are achieved.
• Ensure the Transportation services function continually optimizes staffing, schedules and activities that enable timely and seamless operations.
• Quickly engage with business units to identify, interpret, and set mitigation plans in place to ensure sales deliveries to all customers, timely management of freight payments, and new business executed.
• Respond to marketplace demands through an in-depth understanding of transportation/brokerage practices and complex system technology.
• Initiate innovation and development of new analytics and business processes to improve service levels, support new business, and drive efficiency.
• Identify areas for improvement and close efficiency gaps.
