      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant in Cards and Merchant Services to support Small Business Card. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .

        In this role, you will:

        • Provide descriptive and predictive analytics to influence portfolio marketing strategies, including:
        • Deep-dive analysis into key drivers of portfolio profitability (attrition, employee cards, merchant spend, gaming activity)
        • Digital marketing analytics such as customer behaviors, waterfall analysis, abandonment rates, and ad targeting
        • Build customer segmentation to enhance customer value and drive profitability (including best customer segmentation)
        • Support existing run-the-engine portfolio marketing reporting. Build new reporting as necessary.
        • Perform analysis for financial planning functions, such as portfolio sales trends.
        • Develop and evaluate business initiatives that drive incremental Net Income After Tax for the Small Business Card product team
        • Perform ad-hoc analytics supporting portfolio offer and product strategies for the Small Business Card product team
        • Assist in analytics supporting targeting techniques, identifying and leveraging 3rd party data sources to assist in driving this growth
        • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
        • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
        • Assist managers and leaders in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
        • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
        • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
        • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
        • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
        • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
        • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
        • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
        • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors


        Required Qualifications, US:

        • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


        Desired Qualifications:

        • Small Business Credit Card experience strongly desired
        • Experience with Credit Card portfolio marketing analytics strongly desired
        • Familiarity with advanced analytics
        • Results oriented individual with strong time management skills and the ability to manage many tasks at a time
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
        • Ability to perform analysis and create a narrative that can be shared with senior leadership
        • Experience working in a cross functional matrixed organization
        • SAS/SQL experience highly preferred

        Job Expectations:

        • This position offers a hybrid work schedule
        • Ability to travel up to 10%

        Pay Range:

        • Concord, California: $100,800 - $179,200 Annually

        Salary range is determined by location of the job.
