What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct regular monitoring to determine the accuracy of medical record coding and abstracting
- Provide training and support to coding staff to ensure competency in their roles
- Perform monthly coding audits and document results for coder education
- Serve as a resource for coders, offering guidance and references for coding-related queries
- Code diagnoses and procedures in compliance with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of outpatient coding experience, with at least 1 year in the relevant specialty
- Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CPMA, CCS, RHIT)
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and coding software, such as Epic and 360 Encompass Encoder
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members

- Familiarity with government and payer coding regulations
