What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with data science leadership and business partners to develop optimization and machine learning models
- Construct large-scale, complex optimization and simulation models that provide real-time insights
- Design and develop a modeling framework for solving complex problems in areas like supply-demand planning and logistics
- Explain data-driven recommendations to cross-functional teams through effective storytelling
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the technical strategy and best practices within the team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of relevant data science experience, with at least 4 years in optimization
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as operations research, statistics, or industrial engineering
- High proficiency in Python programming and experience with optimization models
- Hands-on experience building IP/MIP models and writing complex SQL queries
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence key decisions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in quantitative fields or computer science with relevant work experience
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud services
- Familiarity with building optimization and simulation models using commercial solver engines like Gurobi
