      Position Summary

      As the Lead Director of Employee Relations (ER) Investigations, you are responsible for leading a team of ER investigators, focusing on conducting thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, conflicts, and concerns. This role is essential is ensuring a fair, respectful, and legally compliant workplace environment.

      As directed by the Executive Director of the Colleague Relations Investigator Team, the Lead Director will work closely with HR leadership, Compliance, legal counsel, and management to address and resolve complex employee relations issues, promote positive employee relations, and foster a culture of integrity and respect.

      This role also has responsibility to give recommendations on keeping applicable CVS policies up to date, compliant, maintained, and appropriate for the achievement of business needs and CVS culture.

      You will accomplish this by:

      • Leadership and Strategy

        • Deliver strategic direction for employee relations investigations and provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters to HR and management teams.

        • Lead a team of employee relations investigators, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.

        • Collaborate with HR, management, and functional partners (i.e., Legal, Compliance, Corporate Security, Asset Protection, etc.). to align employee relations strategies with organizational goals.

      • Investigations Management

        • Oversee the timely and effective resolution of workplace investigations.

        • As needed, conduct and/or supervise comprehensive investigations into employee complaints of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other workplace issues; present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

        • Conduct case reviews to ensure thorough documentation of investigations and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

      • Reporting and Analysis

        • Review reports on investigation findings, trends, and recommendation

        • Analyze data to identify patterns and areas of improvement

      • Training and Development

        • As needed, assist with delivering training on employee relations, conflict resolution, and related topics.

        • Promote awareness and understanding of employee relations policies and procedures throughout the organization.



      Required Qualifications

      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in employee relations, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role.

      • At least 7 years’ experience conducting and managing employee relations investigations.

      • At least 3 years’ knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

      • At least 2 years’ experience in the use of investigations case management systems and applications (e.g., Salesforce, Navex, HR Acuity, ServiceNow, etc.)



      Preferred Qualifications

      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

      • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity

      • Strong organizational and project management skills

      • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)

      • Master’s degree or Juris Doctor preferred



      Education

      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; equivalent work experience may substitute

      Pay Range

      The typical pay range for this role is:

      $100,000.00 - $231,500.00


      This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
