What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring alignment with production timelines and inventory needs
- Lead supplier selection, relationship management, and contract negotiations to secure favorable terms
- Analyze procurement workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Manage procurement project timelines while collaborating with internal teams such as Quality, Compliance, and Finance
- Support bio-manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, including 0-2 years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of procurement operations in a bio-manufacturing or life sciences environment
- Proven project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong experience in bio-production contracting, including supplier selection and contract negotiation
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)
- Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or PMP
- Experience working in regulated environments such as biotechnology or pharmaceuticals
- Familiarity with GMP, FDA, or other regulatory compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments in a matrixed organization
