- Optimize performance of various assets in the refinery, with a focus on rotating equipment by establishing Asset Care Strategies (ACS), identifying preventative maintenance, analyzing feedback on asset performance, and providing solutions for issues.
- Investigate and leverage historical data, current practices, best practices, and OEM recommendations to improve our maintenance tactics, especially on highly complex problems or related to high-risk assets.
- Develop strong relationships with trades people and operators to drive a deeper understanding of asset performance and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and monitor equipment reliability metrics.
- Optimize care strategies for continuous improvement using various practices to gather data (e.g., PMO, RCA, etc.) and analyze that data to complete fitness for service analyses, make repair recommendations, or adjust ACS accordingly.
- Analyze and optimize department workflows, procedures, and processes to support a standard approach and accountability, participate in department strategic planning, and complete projects for maintenance and reliability initiatives.
- Exercise independent professional engineering judgement while working within broad guidelines and policies with minimal supervision.
- Promote a safe workplace by leading by example and ensuring process safety risk is mitigated through your work.
- Have 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in an industrial setting.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline and a Professional Engineer designation (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Are familiar with RCFA, RCM methodology and maintenance management programs such as PEMAC MMP, SMRP, or CMRP.

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Lead Reliability Engineer on a permanent basis on our Maintenance and Reliability team. This position requires on-site work and is based out of our Co-op Refinery Complex in Regina, SK.
