Consulting Services, a part of GE Vernova, offers our global clients (external & internal GE) a wide range of solutions across the entire spectrum of power generation, delivery, and utilization.

      GE Vernova Consulting Services is seeking to hire a Lead Sales Specialist to join its growing Generation Products and Services practice area. The role will be pivotal in providing comprehensive and tailored grid code compliance solutions to GE Vernova's North American client base. In this role you will focus on following up on leads, finding new opportunities, and increasing order intake for both Internal and External customers. You will take ownership from inquiry to order receipt and support the bid process. You will be wholly responsible for ensuring technical accuracy, competitive pricing, and customer satisfaction at every stage of the proposal process.

      What you'll do:
      • Own the sales target for the target region, increase pipeline and convert to sales for Consulting Services Grid Code Compliance and Testing Services to Generator Owners, focused primarily on power plants in North America
      • Supporting the internal sales process and acting as an advisor to other GE Vernova Businesses
      • Generating a pipeline of opportunities; negotiating and closing deals
      • Winning orders in accordance with Business Orders, Margin, and Equipment Pull Through targets
      • Initiating contacts, visits, and develop relationships at all relevant levels with internal and external customers
      • Developing and promoting specific differentiators to create competitive offerings
      • Traveling to customer meetings, industry conferences, and internal events
      • Effectively and efficiently handing off the scope, budget, and cycle of converted sales contracts to engineering for execution


      What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications):
      • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, electric power engineering, or business from an accredited university or college.
      • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in engineering, sales, or related functions
      • Proven experience in developing business and relationships within a Sales environment in markets such as Power Generation, Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Compliance
      • Experience with CRM software (EG Salesforce) and/or ERP systems (EG SAP, OracleERP)
      • Proven track record of proposing solutions for customers after capturing, interpreting, and understanding customer requirements
      • Experience in target account sales and quotas
      • Comfortable interpreting complex requests for quote,
      • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
      • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (e.g. ability to effectively communicate with all levels of GE and customer staff).
      • Willingness and able to learn technical requirements, regulations, and industry standards
      • Legally authorized to work in the United States

      What will make you stand out (Desired Qualifications):
      • Advanced degree in electrical, mechanical, electric power engineering, or business from an accredited university or college.
      • 2+ year of field experience with GE or other OEM Thermal and Renewable power generation control systems.
      • Technical knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, automation and controls, grid code compliance regulations
      • LEAN skillset, Six Sigma green/black belt, QA/QC experience

      What you can expect from us:
      • A base pay range of $95,000 to $150,000. The specific pay offered will be influenced by the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
      • Eligible for a 10% performance bonus
