      Lead Tankerman (NOLA) - Waggaman, LA
      This is a full-time, hourly position.
      • Must be able to perform all the duties of Tankerman Maintenance I.
      • Must be certified by USCG to perform inspections under the TBSIP program and must also be able to fill-in for Tank Barge Maintenance Supervisor, when needed.
      • The lead person is expected to have superior knowledge in his assigned area as well as to know, understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
      • Lead by example through working safely, following procedures, and making safety contacts.
      • Capable of effective communication with internal and 3rd party crews.
      • Expected to participate in safety meetings and hold daily toolbox safety meetings prior to the start of any work.
      • Capable of planning the day’s work activities, set up crews accordingly.
      • Maintain accurate and detailed records to verify compliance with regulations and maintenance program (TBSIP).
      • Manages major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on marine diesel engines, tank barge pumps and valves, motors, and related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals.
      • Troubleshoot, coordinate & maintain marine engines, tank barge pumps and valves, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and related equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments.
      • Troubleshoot barge functionality issues over the phone or email.
      • Supervises maintenance employees, cleaning facilities, marine mechanics, tankermen and shop labor employees. (Internal and 3rd Party)
      • Expected to be or assign an ARTCo TBSIP Representative to be on site during all USCGexams.
      • Expected to be or assign ARTCo Barge Rep to visit all local vendors that are performing work for ARTCo Tank Barges.
      • Assist in auditing cleaning and repair facilities that work with ARTCo Tank Barges.
      • Communicate with ARTCo Gulf Logistics Department when needed for Tank Barge movements.
      • Other duties as assigned
