  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Monitor and implement new accounting and reporting guidance while providing strategic insights
  - Research and interpret technical accounting for various corporate topics including debt, equity, and taxes
  - Review quarterly and annual SEC financial statements and collaborate with external auditors
  - Document and review accounting for new agreements and transactions entered by the company
  - Provide training and education on accounting topics to internal customers
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in a technical accounting role, either in a corporate setting or with a public accounting firm
  - Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting principles
  - Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment
  - Very strong written and oral communication skills for interaction with senior management and auditors
  - Certified Public Accountant designation or master’s degree in accounting or related business field
  
  How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  - Experience in public accounting, auditing, or consulting specific to the life insurance industry
  - Additional certifications or advanced degrees related to accounting or business
