What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform legal secretarial and clerical duties to support the County Prosecuting Attorney's Office
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents including motions, subpoenas, and legal briefs
- Coordinate with victims of various crimes, providing necessary support during legal proceedings
- Manage case files, ensuring proper documentation and communication with involved parties
- Utilize case management systems to track deadlines and generate reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of experience in an office environment; knowledge of the legal environment preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test prior to hire
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and various software applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a legal office or with legal documentation
- Familiarity with case management systems and legal software applications
- Skills in basic research and understanding of the court system
- Experience in customer service or community engagement roles
