      McLaughlin Research Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Librarian for E- Resources to join a collaborative team.

      Working a small team, the Librarian will oversee the Library’s lifecycle of digital resources, including allocation, assessment, vendor communication, cataloging, and collection review.

      The ideal candidate will have experience working with e-resource management, collection development, or acquisitions in an academic, special, or public library.

      Based on a candidate’s interests, there are opportunities to be involved in other areas of library services outside of e-resources, including reference, website development, and outreach.

      MRC also provides flexible work arrangements based on an individual’s tasking and location.

      • Must be able to successfully obtain an Active Security Clearance – Secret Level.
      • Experience working with e-resource management, collection development, or acquisitions in an academic, special, or public library.
      • Knowledge of the principles and practices of library collection development and awareness of current trends.
      • Experiencing in managing a budget.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Detail-oriented, innovative, and proactive.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master’s degree in Library & Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.

      • Experience using the Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK) to purchase digital resources.

      • Experience in managing or creating workflows related to the acquisition and management of library resources.

      • Experience troubleshooting access issues to e-resources and finding solutions to technological barriers to access.

      • Experience in web development using Drupal or similar platform
