What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform rigorous LiDAR calibration, including boresight adjustments and correction of raw data offsets
- Calculate and refine lever arms and process GPS/GNSS and IMU data to generate accurate trajectories
- Utilize various software tools to process and refine airborne LiDAR swaths and point clouds
- Apply QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to support project planning and delivery
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Geography, GIS, Engineering, Hydrography, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience performing LiDAR calibration for topographic and topobathymetric LiDAR
- Proficiency with Applanix POSPac and experience using BayesMap StripAlign
- Advanced experience with TerraSolid software, including point cloud classification tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven work ethic and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with LAStools and Python
- Experience supporting automation of LiDAR processing and QA/QC workflows
