- Lead and coach a self-directed team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, celebrate success, and support staff growth and retention.
- Facilitate team scheduling and resolve concerns through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Ensure team members are properly trained and up-to-date with all required competencies, systems, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain full compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Foster strong, respectful relationships with residents and their families.
- Advocate for resident preferences and help interpret their emotional and social needs to care team members.
- Monitor resident well-being and promptly alert the clinical team to any changes in condition.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and engaging household environment by identifying hazards and encouraging quality improvements.
- Design and deliver a vibrant, meaningful Life Enrichment Program focused on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness.
- Plan personalized activities that meet the spiritual, social, intellectual, physical, and emotional needs of residents—including those with memory loss.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and integrate resident history and preferences into care plans.
- Certification as APC/APD (Activity Professional Certified/Activity Director Certified) or obtained within one year of employment.
- Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Four (4) years of similar experience and/or education.
- Associate degree or higher.
- Experience in Skilled Care or Residential Services for the elderly.

In this dynamic role, you’ll lead a self-managed team that designs and delivers engaging programs and therapeutic activities that reduce isolation, spark joy, and promote a fulfilling lifestyle. From arts and music to wellness and social events, you'll coordinate experiences that reflect the unique interests and identities of each resident.
You’ll also ensure that staffing, budgeting, and compliance align with our commitment to high-quality care—so your creativity and leadership can thrive within a supportive, mission-driven framework.
