What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee daily financial operations, including the review of the general ledger and reconciliation of accounts
- Collaborate with the CFO and FP&A Manager to prepare and analyze financial statements
- Manage payroll functions and assist with cash flow projections
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and oversee financial audit preparations
- Lead the finance team and support the development of organizational financial policies and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in nonprofit accounting with direct reports
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and accounting regulations for non-profit organizations
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in MS Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with financial systems such as QuickBooks, Concur.com, and Salesforce
- Familiarity with automation tools for financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
