What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile medical records
- Perform injections and prepare exam rooms for patient visits
- Submit medication prior authorizations and report abnormal laboratory values
- Act as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers
- Assist providers with medical exams and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by recognized bodies or equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality care
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a medical assistant role or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual skills to assist diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
