What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of conveyor control components and sensors
- Monitor and troubleshoot Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) for optimal product flow
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and create follow-up work orders in CMMS software
- Inspect, rebuild, and install sortation system carriers according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) and perform other mechanical repairs as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Basic technical knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) and automation in a distribution center
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to perform general maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing
- Excellent communication skills to address operational issues effectively
- Certification for working at heights and operating aerial working platforms (AWPs)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Familiarity with human-machine interfaces and conveyor systems
- Skills in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance projects
