Job Description

- Promote a "safety first" culture within the Maintenance Team and all other departments.
- Confer with management and operations personnel on maintenance projects.
- Plan, assign and direct work for the maintenance department.
- Inspect job sites to determine the extent of maintenance or repairs needed.
- Recommend measures to continuously improve equipment efficiency.
- Manage and initiate PM program and track results.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors.
- Provide leadership with performance feedback, disciplinary action and performance management.
- Train and develop maintenance employees to build capability.
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures.
- Participate on Continuous Improvement Teams and Lean initiatives.
- Refine classifications of Maintenance Levels
- Review CMMS reports to help direct priorities of the team
- Perform Failure analysis on reactive break downs to eliminate reoccurrences
- Perform PM audits to ensure mechanics are properly performing PM's
- Oversee Tool allowance program
- Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

- BS Degree preferably in Engineering and or combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor / Manager preferably in manufacturing/processing plant.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Manager will manage the Plant Maintenance Department by overseeing maintenance projects and providing technical support and training to the maintenance and manufacturing departments, as well as supporting capital projects. Responsible for overseeing maintenance employees and providing direction on assignments. Manage the Preventive Maintenance program and provide strategy to ensure maximum effectiveness. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies, Safety and OSHA regulations and applicable laws while following all Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and the Food Safety System of the company.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand for periods of time at work station, climb stairs, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as designated by the company.
The majority of the roles is performed in a manufacturing environment which may include high levels of noise with a possibility of performing work in an outdoor environment on occasion. Working in outdoor conditions can include extreme cold, heat, or humidity; and sometimes can include work in dusty or muddy work conditions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
