What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise and direct the activities of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff
- Review transactions to ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and collection of receivables
- Maintain and approve reconciliations of accounts payable and receivable subsystems to the general ledger
- Oversee the collections of past-due amounts and maintain the escheatment process
- Assist with audits, including the annual review by the state auditor's office
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a financial role
- High school diploma with seven (7) years of relevant financial experience, or an associate's degree with five (5) years, or a bachelor's degree with three (3) years of required experience
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Knowledge of automated financial systems and accounting procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines

- Familiarity with audit processes and vendor management
- Knowledge of fraud awareness and prevention strategies
- Skills in financial management systems and performance management
- Experience in developing staff through coaching and counseling
