      Summary:

      The Cause Partnerships (CP) team oversees the ASPCA’s relationships with a range of companies who are committed to supporting animal welfare through product sales, marketing activities, employee giving campaigns and other engagement opportunities.

      The Manager will provide active support to core cause partnerships through ongoing review and management of marketing materials and contractual commitments, including assisting the Director and Vice President with partnership activities as needed. The Manager also owns the administration and execution of the annual shelter-retailer grants program in partnership with Subaru of America.

      The person in this role is responsible for maintaining the department’s financial records, including accurate revenue tracking for public and private workplace giving as well as wire transfers and checks received from partners and licensees. The Manager supports the Vice President by closely tracking revenue to ensure consistency across Workday and Salesforce systems and maintains up-to-date files for all active partners and licensees.Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to self-prioritize and work independently, and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.

      This remote-based position (which requires travel, as described below) is open to all candidates based within the United States. Preference will be given to candidates based within commuting distance of New York City, who will be required to commute to our New York City offices as needed.

      Responsibilities:

      Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

      Subaru Partnership (40%)

      • Supports Director with management of ongoing business/strategic initiatives for Subaru relationship.
      • Assists with project management activities related to the ASPCA’s participation in the annual Subaru Share the Love Event, including keeping track of deadlines and impact of deliverables.
      • Assists with project management activities related to the ASPCA’s marketing efforts for Subaru Loves Pets Month.
      • Works with ASPCA Grants department to manage the administration and execution of the annual Subaru shelter-retailer grant program.
      • Manages communication with Subaru retailers and shelters and keeps track of funded event outcomes including adoption numbers, testimonials, attendance, photos, and success stories.
      • Collects data/stats for all Subaru programs and projects per contractual agreement between the ASPCA and Subaru.
      • Generates monthly usage reports for the ASPCA’s promotional lease Subaru vehicles.
      • Drafts all partner-related recaps (e.g., Share the Love, Grant Program, etc.).
      • Assists with ad hoc requests, as received by Subaru.

      Independence Pet Group and Other Cause Partnerships (35%)

      • Supports Director and Vice President in Independence Pet Group relationship management, including conducting research for new partnership opportunities, participating in meetings and brainstorms, creating business presentations, and keeping track of partnership communications.
      • Handles weekly review of all marketing collateral related to ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, ensuring legal compliance and proper execution of brand standards.
      • Assists with partnership account transition from new business team to longer-term management, with growth opportunity to take lead in account management for a select portfolio of partners.

      Financial Support (20%)

      • Supports Vice President with management of CP department financial records through accurate claiming of all of revenue for the department and ensuring alignment with budget.
      • Manages calendar and agency deadlines for public workplace giving.
      • Tracks all workplace giving through monitoring of several giving portals, ongoing wire claims and check processing, and providing monthly projections to Vice President.

      Administrative Support (5%)

      • Manages the execution of ASPCA Insider (CP partner/prospect communication) emails.
      • Maintains updated metrics for ASPCA channels utilized for partner activation.
      • Schedules internal and external meetings and conference calls as needed.
      • Develops department meeting agendas and compiles notes for all attendees.
      • Assists with other projects/requests as assigned.

      Qualification Requirements:

      • Three or more years of related experience in general administrative skills and account management.
      • Ability to understand the ASPCA’s mission, strategy, programs, policies, and values.
      • Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, department staff and the public.
      • Ability to self-prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Must be detail-oriented and extremely well-organized.
      • Technological proficiency with Microsoft programs required; working knowledge of any computer database tool (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
      • Must be able to work in a stationary position for 8+ hours per day to meet the physical requirements of this position.
      • Displays care and concern for the safety and well-being of self, animals and others, especially during stressful situations.

      Travel:

      • Attendance required at in-person partner meetings approximately 5 times per year as well as in-person team/department meetings approximately once per quarter.

      Compensation and Benefits:

      The applicable target hiring range for this remote role is based on where the employee works, which for remote roles is the employee’s primary location of residence, and its respective cost of labor. We have organized the U.S. varying costs of labor index into three geographic zones. As a point of reference, below, we have included our ASPCA locations by geographic zone to illustrate what the hiring range would be in each of the following areas.

      Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary ranges for this role are set forth below and may be modified in the future.

      • Zone 1 (For example, Asheville, NC; Champaign, IL; Columbus, OH; Gainesville, FL; Miami, FL; Oklahoma City, OK; Overland, KS; Union, MO; Weaverville, NC): $55,000 - $58,000 annually
      • Zone 2 (For example, Washington D.C.; Los Angeles, CA): $61,000 - $65,000 annually
      • Zone 3 (For example, New York, NY): $67,000 - $71,000 annually

      3+ years related work experience required, High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
