  The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) area. In this role, the selected candidate will provide support to complex situations and creative solutions to support the U.S. Army’s Enduring Indirect Fire Protection Capability (E-IFPC) system. This role will support an active Other Transaction Authority (OTA), its transition to a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) based program based program, along with the IFPC 2nd Effector completive OTA capture.

  The successful candidate’s attributes should include but are not limited to strong experience with FAR/DFARS/Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) terms and conditions risk assessment and negotiations, understanding the implications of international work, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, subject matter expertise in general contracting, and be able to provide contractual and business guidance to the Program Management Leadership.

  What You Will Do

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships

  • Provide support to the Associate Director, Contracts

  • Provide support to complex contractual matters and help reach resolution through proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders

  • Support development of pre-negotiation objectives and implement negotiation strategy reviews as part of the proposal development process

  • Have the ability to represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while developing and maintaining trusting relationships with complex customers

  Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts under the FAR and the DFARS

  • Experience supporting U.S. Government contracts negotiations

  Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of objectives, including ability to communicate and influence executive leadership

  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential

  • Knowledge of the missile defense market

  The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
