      The Curative Manager will be involved in managing multiple document curative initiatives in support of Agency and GNMA certifications, securitizations and buyouts, loan transfers, and similar business activity. The candidate will work closely with team members to enhance existing strategies and with other business units to support the timely resolution of document exceptions impacting their business channels. This role provides the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative team.

      Job Functions and Responsibilities:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

      • Develop new processes and enhance existing strategies to review, cure, and report on all document exceptions
      • Build strong relationships with External Document Custodians, Forward and Reverse Servicing leadership, Capital Markets, Treasury, and related business units
      • Act as a liaison between team members, leadership, and other internal and external teams to ensure seamless operations and effective communication
      • Design, build, and maintain processes to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to internal teams
      • Enhance reports used to monitor daily activity, ensuring accurate pipeline reporting and the ability to provide detailed analysis of portfolio
      • Within stringent timeframes, obtain, review for accuracy, and cure all document exceptions
      • Reconcile the delivered and missing document reports with internal and external customers to ensure all parties agree on status
      • Perform collateral duties and special projects as assigned
      • Work closely with the leadership team to prioritize competing business needs
      • Leverage available software applications and tools to add efficiency and accuracy to daily workflow

      Qualifications:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred
      • 2+ years of leadership in mortgage origination and/or servicing environment required
      • Experience with mortgage collateral documents preferred
      • Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel (advanced), and experience with Microsoft Access and/or SQL preferred
      • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to interface confidently with internal & external parties
      • Demonstrated and proven ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
      • Proven written and verbal communication skills up to and including presentations to senior leadership
      • Self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills, and capable of working independently
      • Demonstrable decision-making ability/analytical skills
      • Understanding and analytical interpretation of State and Federal regulations and legal contractual language dealing with Custodial, Agency, Investor, Trust, PSA, Transfer Instructions, or Deal documents, etc., with ability to apply language/terms to current work demands as possible curative solutions/alternatives
      • Effective time management to balance day to day tasks against short and long-term project deliverables.

      Conditions of Work:

      • Long periods sitting in front of computer screen.
      • Lifting banker’s boxes with an average weight of 35 pounds.

      Training / Licensing Requirements:

      • Must pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
