About the team you are joining

You are joining the I&D Data Strategy Team. Our mission is to drive excellence in how data is managed, collected, and leveraged across IATA. We lead the development of global data governance practices, build integrated data solutions, and ensure that our organization and its partners can rely on trusted, well-documented data to support decision-making, operations, and industry collaboration.

What your day would be like

As Manager of Data Collection Platform, your role sits at the intersection of business needs and technical delivery. You'll collaborate closely with Data Engineering and business units across IATA to design, build, and manage a robust, scalable, and user-friendly data collection system.

      Your key responsibilities will include:
Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements to guide platform development.
Implementing and enforcing data governance policies, monitoring data integrity, and collaborating with various teams to maintain data standards.
Design wireframes and mock-ups that define the structure and flow of the platform, ensuring excellent usability and stakeholder satisfaction.
Work side-by-side with the Data Engineering and other technical and business teams to document processes, validate functionality, and ensure delivery aligns with objectives.
Promote the platform internally and externally by developing engaging presentations, guides, and promotional materials and deliver training sessions to internal users and external data partners to ensure smooth adoption of the platform.
Oversee onboarding of new partners (e.g. airlines, industry data providers), ensuring their data can be submitted easily and securely.
Ensure business continuity and smooth operation of the platform, identifying and addressing issues before they impact users.

We would love to hear from you if

You have a postgraduate degree in computer science, business management, or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of practical experience in a role that dealt with the management of data in integrated solutions within an organization, including experience with multiple systems where data was an important part of the job, from data entry, data stewardship, data manipulation, to data migration.
You have excellent analytical skills and experience applying evidence-based data analysis to solve business problems.
You have strong interpersonal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to a non-technical audience; other languages are an advantage.
You are meticulous about the design of solutions, ensuring they are visually appealing and user-friendly.
Knowledge of IATA systems and processes, particularly in aviation financial settlement and distribution services, is considered a plus.
