Job Description

- Effectively manages and resolves critical issues that could affect the expected outcome of a NetJets US Flight related operation. Responsible for the department staffing, scheduling, workload management, establishing assignments, including the daily distribution of flights among the Dispatchers and the authorization of overtime and/or bonus days, communication-both internal and external, policy development, problem resolution, managing labor relations and day-to-day contract administration, team member discipline, development and performance reviews and management of the area's budget. Coaches/mentors team members. Manages employee performance, behavior and provides career development. Actively assists team members with workload and operational considerations as necessary.
- Provides superior service to our customers (internal and external) as well as share this knowledge and experience with team members in a mentoring fashion. Maintains a positive perspective on aspects of the job and company while on duty. Proactively identifies potential pitfalls and makes decisions and develops solutions that adhere to NetJets' Vision, Mission and Values. Assists other members of the team in problem resolution and documentation process.
- Communicates and coordinates requests, issue resolutions, and proactively seeks and resolves potential operational issues. Actively reviews case management documentation. Effectively presents information and responds to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Resolves most situations independently and involves Flight Center leadership as needed. Conducts Owner, Pilot, and miscellaneous tours as needed.
- In the absence of the Director, may assume Director responsibilities. Assists Director on various committees for project management.

Complete understanding of capabilities of all aircraft including aircraft specific performance limitations (temperature, wind, range, and runway limitations, wet, dry, and Part 135).

Thorough understanding and application of all FAA regulatory requirements.

Understanding of aviation operations including crew requirements, seating capacity, baggage limitation, international operations, interdepartmental communications, understanding of NetJets Operations as a whole and basic Dispatching.

Extensive understanding of Crew Services and how it relates to the Flight Center and Company mission.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Sound foundation in leadership skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Purpose of Position

The position is responsible for the department staffing, scheduling, establishing assignments/workload management including the daily distribution of flights among the Dispatchers and the authorization of overtime and/or Bonus days. In addition, the Manager, Dispatch is responsible for communication-both internal and external, policy development, problem resolution, managing labor relations and day-to-day contract administration, team member discipline, development and performance reviews and management of the area's budget.
