      West Monroe is hiring for a Manager to join our Energy and Utilities Practice with a focus on IT/OT technologies utilized within the electric utility industry.       What will you be doing?

      Client Delivery

      • Lead or support a program management office (PMO) for utility clients undertaking complex, SCADA/ADMS centric programs with a focus on IT/OT integration, including driving resolution of risks and issues, identification of interdependencies, execution of detailed reporting, support of schedule and critical path activities, and effective communication and collaboration across the West Monroe and client team.
      • As the Project Manager, lead the development of project plans, project budgets, and instituting governance structure on small, medium, and large engagements.
      • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams for client engagements.
      • Lead vendor selections, business case development, deployment planning, training and change management, strategic analysis and manage projects through from strategy to go-live including testing, training and turnover.
      • Lead projects, programs, and portfolios leveraging lean techniques and adapting to the appropriate delivery methodology (agile vs waterwall)

      Practice Development:

      • Lead and participate in the Energy & Utilities practice (developing methodologies, service offerings, training and team development, etc.), and drive best practice behaviors across the organization.
      • Contribute to the development of thought leadership and methodologies to support West Monroe’s consulting practices.
      • Provide leadership and development opportunities to junior consultants to build upon our culture and enhance our Energy & Utilities practice.

      Business Development:

      • Understand client business needs and requirements and help turn those goals into consulting projects and detailed proposals.
      • Contribute to the business development process as an emerging technologies subject matter expert.
      • Create work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for projects and prospective clients.
      • Actively build a professional network and affiliate network in the local community.

      We need someone who can bring the following to the table:

      • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
      • 8+ years of work experience with ideally a minimum of five years of professional services consulting experience
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
      • Minimum 5+ years of work experience within IT/OT projects, preferably within the Energy & Utilities industry
      • Experience working across the relevant Utility organizations (IT, Distribution Operations, Distribution Engineering, Emerging Technology/DER Programs, Customer Operations, Telecom)
      • Expertise in Information and operating technology (IT/OT) systems (e.g., AMI, ADMS, DERMS, FAN, DA, OMS)
      • Prior experience managing a team of professional services consultants in a project environment
      • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the year annually.

      Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

      Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
