- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Manages the EA Practice to achieve tight alignment between business strategy, business capability models and technology platforms/architectures. Provides coaching and mentorship to build the team of federated Solution Architects in the principals of architecture, design thinking and rapid prototyping to drive building scalable, available, performant, resilient, secure and cost optimized systems.
- Sets architecture vision and principles to shape platform and technology decisions so decisions support strategic priorities; build “architecture” mindset in decision makers and measure EA’s value proposition in Business Outcomes.
- Supports Project Delivery (provide and/or review solution designs) to ensure technology producers are leveraging, and benefiting from, the EA framework including reference architectures, patterns, etc.
- Builds a high performing EA team that delivers exceptional value to BJC Technology and ensuring that IT and Department OKRs/KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Leads and contributes to the development of the EA Framework of tools, processes, templates and other EA artifacts.

Additional Information About the RoleBJC is seaching for a Manager, Enterprise Architecture. The role will interact with teams across the enterprise and manage a team of architects.
Must live in the greater St. Louis area.

The Manager, Enterprise Architecture (EA), reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and will manage the Business Architecture (BA) and Enterprise Platforms & Technology (P&T) practices. EA's Business Architecture practice and methods leverage the business vision, strategies and priorities to strategically guide organizational change investments across the enterprise. EA's Platform & Technology practice and methods underpins business architecture and defines EA principles, standards, reference architectures and roadmap strategies. The AE will ensure alignment of technology platforms and solutions (digital, applications, products, services, security, data and infrastructure) to BJC's business architecture capabilities, thus ensuring that BJC’s business strategic priorities and goals requiring technology solutions are achieved. The Manager is accountable for building out a high performing EA team and ensuring that IT and Department objectives & key results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPI) are met or exceeded.
