      About the role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive. We’re making this happen by improving our customers’ financial wellbeing so they can achieve incredible things – be it buying their home, building a business or saving for things big or small.

The shift to a focus on corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance is fundamental and permanent. To help meet the ESG expectations of our investors, customers and external stakeholders, and support our strategy and purpose, we have a purpose-built function. ESG Disclosure & Reporting is one of the pillars of this function, alongside Governance, Analytics & Advisory, and Social Impact & Community.

The Manager, ESG Disclosures & Reporting role will support delivery of the Group’s ESG disclosures and reporting to communicate our performance and effective management of our material ESG risks and opportunities. The work undertaken in this role takes place against the background of increasingly high levels of social, government, investor and customer scrutiny of the bank’s ESG policies.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Supporting delivery of the Group's ESG and Modern Slavery reporting (with a focus on Social and Governance pillars)

      • Ensuring our reporting is relevant to stakeholder expectations and meets key external reporting standards, frameworks and practices

      • Supporting external assurance of annual ESG and Modern Slavery reporting

      • Supporting engagement with ESG indices and ratings, including the S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (DJSI)

      • Conducting regular and ongoing benchmarking of ESG reporting and disclosure of peers/other corporates and monitoring development of new ESG reporting frameworks

      • Ensuring ESG related content on anz.com is updated as required

      Role location: Melbourne

Role type: 12 month opportunity, full time

      What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:

      • Experience contributing to ESG, financial or risk reporting and submissions for an ASX-listed organisation

      • Strong analytical, writing and communications skills, including the ability to understand and simplify complex matters

      • Strong relationship and networking skills to engage internal stakeholders on ESG responses

      • Understanding of relevant ESG and Modern Slavery reporting standards and frameworks

      So, why join us?

There’s something special about being part of ANZ. From the moment you join us, you’re part of a team working towards a common goal: improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

But it’s not just our customers who’ll feel your impact. You’ll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you’ll have the resources and community you need to take the next big step in your career, towards even bigger things in the future.

We offer a range of benefits tailored to the countries in which we operate including Health and Wellbeing programs and flexible working arrangements.

You’ll also enjoy working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated. We encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. If you are a candidate with a disability, let us know how we can provide you with additional support.
