      What You'll Be Doing in the role of Manager, General Ledger:

      The Manager, General Ledger will manage the General Ledger operational teams responsible for processing financial transactions and the month end close process for Headquarters. This position serves as an accounting and financial expert providing work direction and technical guidance for Komen Headquarters and approximately 30 Komen markets. This position ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position ensures compliance with state sales tax requirements, leasehold standards, and maintains investments schedules.

      What You Will Bring to the Table:

      Guide timely and accurate recording of General Ledger transactions and review team’s work including problem solving of all unusual circumstances across multiple operating units.
      Review and approve monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for the staff in the General Ledger Team.
      Ensure compliance with financial operations policies and procedures, and ensure adequate controls are in place and operating effectively.
      Manage General Ledger teams. Ensure goal setting and performance reviews are conducted in a timely manner, coach staff and demonstrate commitment to growth and development of staff.
      Assist in the documentation and completeness of financial operations policies, procedures and internal controls as needed.
      Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for communication with internal staff and external audiences including auditors, bankers, vendors, etc.
      Requires previous experience with an ERP system such as PeopleSoft, SAP, or Oracle as well as Microsoft Office Suites. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
      Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing their productivity.
      This position supervises Accountant I, General Ledger - Accountant II, General Ledger - Accountant III, General Ledger.
      Perform other duties as assigned.

      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleSoft.
      Minimum of 5 years’ accounting/finance experience with 2 years of management experience required to effectively perform the job’s responsibilities.
      Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, experience may be substituted for some of the education experience.

      Preferred experience includes:
      Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others.
      Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written; research, develop, present, and promote projects; work independently; prioritize work and meet deadlines.
      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

      Approximate annual salary $74,000 to $100,000, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience and geographic location.
