      Manager, Human Resources

      Specific Responsibilities

      • Partner with business leadership on orientation and onboarding in a manner that promotes employee engagement and new hire success
      • Educate and guide managers on QuadReal’s recruitment, talent review, and performance management processes
      • Support and participate in talent review processes within assigned business units
      • Promote effective performance development with managers, providing support for coaching plans, including improvement and high-potential opportunities
      • Ensure employee engagement and career development are prioritized in all people initiatives
      • Act as an ambassador for the organization's vision and values, reinforcing them in employee practices
      • Collaborate with stakeholders and HR team on disability management, including return-to-work and accommodation options.
      • Provide direction on HR aspects of property acquisition and divestment, delivering on-site support to business units
      • Partner with management on employee relations investigations, offering recommendations and advice in compliance with regulatory governance
      • Participate in employee offboarding procedures including the preparation of paperwork
      • Consult with the management team, legal team, and external counsel on formal HR complaints from MOL, HRT, WCB boards
      • Support employee engagement survey processes and work with leaders to analyze and create action plans
      • Identify opportunities to improve policies, processes, and procedures
      • Promote open-door policy, being visible and accessible to the client group
      • Other duties as assigned

      Core Competencies/ Attributes

      • Proficiency in both English and French is essential for this role
      • Ability to perform as a trusted advisor, to lead and be an effective team player with an understanding of how to build partnerships at all levels
      • Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Legislation, and other governing bodies
      • Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills in resolving HR matters
      • Exhibits high level of customer focus and service orientation
      • Proven ability to work with and support a diverse employee population nationally
      • Effective oral and written communication
      • Ability to prioritize workload; multi-task as well as manage detailed project work
      • Willingness to adapt and learn within a dynamic environment that is ever-changing
      • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with client groups

      Education

      • Degree in Business, Human Resources, or another relevant field,
      • CHRP designation considered an asset
      • Good understanding of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel)
      • Experience with Workday, or other HR information systems is as advantageous

      Experience

      • 5-7+ years’ progressive experience in HR

      Other

      • Travel required within Canada – approximately 40%
