      THE ROLE

      We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to lead Legends | ASM indirect tax function. This individual will be responsible for global indirect tax compliance and expected to collaborate with various business partners to support the constant growth of Legends | ASM. This position will ensure accurate, timely, and supportable indirect tax reporting, develop strong processes to automate the indirect function where possible and service as a critical team member ensuring a seamless customer experience from a tax perspective.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Lead all aspects of global indirect tax strategy and compliance inclusive of Sales & Use, VAT/GST and other indirect taxes.
      • Collaboration across various business groups to proactively identify indirect tax requirements, registrations and implications associated with Legends ASM growth and product offerings.
      • Prepare, review and reconcile indirect tax accruals for the accounting close
      • Act as an internal consultant and subject matter expert on issues pertaining to the Company’s ongoing indirect tax compliance requirements
      • Manage sales and indirect tax audits, notices and disputes
      • Review indirect tax procedures and implement process improvement and automations where possible
      • Assist facility level personnel, as applicable, in maintaining compliance with all state regulations concerning indirect tax reporting.
      • Oversee all indirect tax registrations and licensing requirements

      Supervisory Responsibilities

      Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends | ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

      Skills and Abilities

      • Extensive technical knowledge of tax rules and regulations associated with US sales and use tax and VAT/GST
      • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
      • Ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment
      • Experience with indirect tax engines and POS services (E.G. Avalara, Shopify, Square, etc)
      • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
      • Excellent data analysis, accounting and journal entry skills
      • Ability to function both independently and as a team member.
      • 5+ Years of global indirect tax experience
      • B. S. in Accounting from a four-year college or university

      Location: Corporate - This role is preferably based in Connecticut, but we are open to considering strong candidates from other regions.
